Challah Bread Pudding

Braided Challah, Pears, Apples, Honey, and Dates

I don't know about you, but I have about a half loaf of Challah left and I plan on making this wonderful recipe from my Mom today. If you celebrated Rosh Hashanah yesterday, how was your holiday?

Challah Bread Pudding

3 Cups Milk, Warmed

4 Tbs Butter
Homemade Challah
8 slices of Challah bread about 1/2 inch thick
1 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
3 Eggs
1/4 to 1/2 cup of sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
Raisins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Warm milk, butter, and Cinnamon in sauce pan.
Beat eggs in a bowl.
Add sugar and vanilla to eggs.
Place sliced bread in buttered 9x9 baking dish.
Pour warm milk over bread.
Top with raisins.
Cover with egg mixture.
Bake 30-45 min.
