Peanut Butter Cookies


The holidays are just around the corner, and this weekend we were in the mood for cookies.So after church, a quick run to wal-mart, a load of laundry, and a quick clean of the house, we decided to make Peanut butter cookies. My sister recently gave me a recipe from her culinary class, so I thought I would give it a try. They we really quite easy to make and are tasty.

Peanut Butter Cookies
Makes 3 Dozen

1 cup peanut butter                                    1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar                                    1/2 cup butter, softened
1 egg                                                            2 tbs milk
1 tsp vanilla extract                                     1/4 cup flour
3/4 tsp baking powder                                1/4 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Combine peanut butter, butter, and sugars in mixer, cream.

Turn off mixer, add egg, milk, and vanilla and mix.

Combine flour salt and baking powder in a bowl. Slowly add to mixer. Mix on medium speed until ingredients are well mixed.

Roll tablespoons of dough and press with a fork. Place 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 8-12 minutes.

These cookies look amazing! I just made apple crisp & it's still warm! Can't wait for your apple muffin recipe! I have cornish game hens in the oven right now, I'll let you know how they turn out.
