So apparently yesterday was chocolate cake day. I was not informed of this and went on my merry way without any chocolate love. Well, that's not exactly true, I am doing an iron chef style challenge in February and the secret ingredient is chocolate. I spent a little time working on an appetizer and came across a recipe for chocolate covered bacon. I thought why not, its supposed to be like iron chef right? Why not make a weird combo to serve to my "judges?" It had an oddly almost appealing flavor, but I decided against it because it was chocolate covered bacon!
I wouldn't exactly call last nights experimentation chocolate love, but when I came across this I knew it would be heaven on a plate. I am totally making this at sometime, this cake looks so yummy I was almost tempted to make it, instead of test recipes for my challenge.
Get the recipe for King Arthur's Slab o' Bliss, you won't be sorry.
P.S. If someone makes this before I do, please let me know how it is!
