Now that is just corny!

Today I am sharing a recipe for cornbread. I absolutely love cornbread! I like a less sweet corn bread so that I can sweeten it with a little honey, maple syrup, or my own maple butter. I got this recipe from the back of the cornmeal bag, and it is pretty tasty.

Golden Yellow Cornbread

1 Cup Indian Head Yellow Corn Meal
1 Cup Flour
Cornbread awaits maple butter and a side of chili.
1/4 Cup Sugar
3 Teaspoons Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Cup Oil, I would use vegetable or canola
1 Cup Milk
1 Egg Beaten

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until well blended.
Pour into a greased 9x9 pan and bake 20- 25 minutes.

Maple Butter
4 Tablespoons Butter, Softened
1 Tablespoon Pure Maple Syrup

Combine Ingredients and stir until combined. Spread on warm cornbread.

Happy Cooking!
