Chocolate Covered Cherries

Hi, My name is Joy and I am addicted to chocolate covered cherries. I seriously need a 12 step program. My favorites are the Cella's Chocolate Covered cherries. I have been known to eat quite a few of those foil wrapped gems. While my mom was down this week we made some chocolate covered cherries of our own. They are really good and really easy. They would make an excellent present boxed up or served on a platter.

Chocolate Covered Cherries

1 jar of maraschino cherries with stems, drained
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup butter

Dry cherries. Prepare a baking pan for the berries by placing parchment on the sheet. Spray very lightly with cooking spray.

Melt chocolate and butter in the microwave stir until combined.

Holding the stem, dip cherries in chocolate submerging all but a little bit of the cherry, you still want to see a little red.

Place the cherry on the baking sheet. Once you have dipped all of your cherries and have placed them on the sheet, place them in the refrigerator to harden.

Once hardened, place in an airtight container and enjoy.

Be sure to stop back tomorrow for a special Chocolate menu that is perfect for Valentine's day!

Happy Cooking!

Joy
