Stuffed French Toast

Sweet, creamy, and flavorful, this french toast doesn't need butter or syrup. My stuffed french toast features a delicious sweet and spicy cream cheese, nuts, and fruit sandwiched between two perfectly grilled french toast slices. It's perfect for a weekend breakfast, or brunch.

Stuffed French Toast- Makes 4

I used bananas, but strawberries would be a wonderful addition

French Toast
5 eggs
1/2 cup milk or cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
cinnamon, and nutmeg to taste
bread, I use a thick white

For Filling Mixture
1 block of cream cheese
2 tablespoons honey
cinnamon to taste
strawberries or bananas

In a large bowl mix eggs, milk, vanilla and spices. I like a lot of cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg in mine.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Spray with cooking spray.

Dip the bread in the egg mixture coating all sides. Add bread to pan. Cook until golden brown.

Allow to cool for a few minutes, spread two slices with cream cheese. Add a layer of bananas or strawberries and nuts. Top with remaining slice of bread.

Return stuffed french toast to the pan and grill for a few minutes more to allow the center to get warm
