Italian Panini

I really like sandwiches. They are quick, easy, and portable. Sometimes I get sick of the turkey and cheese combo and need to jazz things up a bit. That's were this panini comes in. It has crispy bread, melty cheese and thin sliced deli meats and is warm and toasty.

Italian Panini
1 loaf of round crusty bread, sliced
1/2 pound sliced ham
1/2 pound sliced salami
1 pound sliced provolone cheese
1 head of lettuce, shredded
2 large tomatoes, sliced
Cooking spray

For an extra treat, add some roasted red peppers, sauteed mushrooms, caramelized onions or pesto mayo.

Heat up your panini press. Assemble your sandwich by layering slices of meats, cheese, and veggies. Spray the bread with cooking spray and place in panini press. Cook the panini until the bread is toasted and the sandwich is warm.

Happy Cooking!!

Joy, this was a great sandwich and I loved dipping it in the mustard!!! Can't wait to have one again.
