When I was little, I loved making this dessert. It's like mini sticky buns. My mom, sister and I each had our own jobs and we were pretty efficient at them. In no time at all we had created a beautiful, ooey, gooey, bubble cake.
2 loaves of bread dough, I like to use thawed frozen dough that I have risen
1 1/2 cups of cinnamon sugar (1 1/2 cups of sugar plus as much cinnamon as you want)
1 1/4 stick of butter,melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray a tube or bunt pan with cooking spray and place on a baking sheet. Begin to rip off pieces of bread dough about the size of a quarter. Dip in butter, and dredge in cinnamon sugar. Place in pan. Repeat with remaining dough.
Place baking sheet and bunt pan in the oven and bake for about 40 minutes or until the center has pulled away from the tube and the cake looks airy, risen, and the top is golden brown.
Allow the pan to cool for about 10 minutes on a cooling rack, and then invert on a plate. I think this cake is best served when still warm.
