4 slices of bread
4 slices of mozzarella or American cheese
1/2 cup of pizza sauce, plus extra for dipping
pepperoni slices, mushrooms, ham, or any other pizza toppings (optional)
Preheat a griddle or nonstick pan over medium heat. Assemble sandwich by spreading a little sauce on each slice of bread and top with cheese and place any desired toppings on one half of the sandwich and lightly press together. Spray pan with cooking spray.
Place sandwiches in the pan and grill until golden brown. Serve immediately with sauce for dipping.
|For a more "Adult" version of this sandwich try it with crusty Italian bread, fresh tomatoes and basil leaves. Just toss it in the oven for a few minutes if you keep the loaf whole, or slice and grill as directed above.|
