Beef stroganoff is a family favorite around here. A few weeks ago my husband wanted me to make it, but honestly it was just a little too hot to be over the stove. Instantly, I thought I'll make it in the slow cooker! This came together in minutes and was so tender and delicious. It was wonderful to come home to at the end of a very busy day. It kept the kitchen cool and everyone loved it. That's a hit im my book! It was gone so fast, I couldn't even get a picture!
Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff
2 lbs beef stew meat
1.5 tsp of Beef Better than Bouillon
1 tablespoon dried minced onions
1/2 cup water
1 package sliced mushrooms
2 cans cream of mushroom soup ( Or substitute 1 cup of beef broth and a container of sour cream)
1 package of cooked egg noodles
Combine the first 5 ingredients in the slow cooker. Cook on low 6-8 hours or high for about 3. Add mushroom soup or beef broth and sour cream and cook for an additional 30 minutes. Serve over hot egg noodles.
Hope your family loves this dish as much as mine!
